Day in the Life

A Day in the Life of a GP Home Visit Practice

It helps to picture the work. This is an illustrative day, not a guarantee of bookings or income.

Every C.A.L.L.S visit is booked as a 30-minute slot, patients receive confirmation, en route alerts and ETA updates, notes can be entered during or after a visit, and payment settles weekly every Tuesday (source: C.A.L.L.S how it works). How many visits you take is up to you.

Morning

Check the day's bookings and your route. C.A.L.L.S handles patient confirmation and en route alerts (source).

Visits

Each visit is a full 30-minute slot. Our earlier analysis of how many patients a GP can see properly in a day cites the RACGP data behind why this matters, including the 19.7-minute national average.

Notes

Enter clinical notes during or after the visit, and the platform generates the patient summary (source: how it works).

Payment

Payment is released once you have completed the required paperwork and your patient has confirmed the visit is complete. Ask your patient to tick the confirmation box on their dashboard before you leave, so there is nothing to chase later. Weekly settlement lands every Tuesday (source: how it works).
